Green House Ingredient Sdn Bhd (Greenhouse) was established in 2003 with the main goal of delivering quality custom made flavours and colours for the bakery industry. Our directors have a combined experience of 15 years in the flavouring industry and it is with their expertise that Greenhouse has grown within a short time to be the leading flavouring supplier for the bakery industry in Malaysia.

Malaysia is blessed with our tropical climate and our cultural diversity. We have inherited a rich history of flavourings from the nature as well as from the people. Even with our wide variety, there has always been one flavour that is evident in all of our everyday food and drinks. Be it in our curry, our traditional deserts or even the modern cakes and cocktails, the fragrance of Pandan leaves can often be tasted.

 
 

 

Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius) is a tropical plant in the screwpine genus. Their unique flavour is derived from their fan-shaped sprays of long, narrow, bladelike leaves. It is common to see household gardens in Malaysia with a green erect Pandan plant. The pandan leaves are used fresh and whole and they are simply dropped (usually as a couple of leaves tied together in a knot) into rice, curries, soups (or anything that suits our whim) and they are left to cook with it till they are fragrant. They leave a nutty botanical fragrance that is either good as an accompanying flavour or as the main star of a cake or dessert.
